Brian Stephenson Fine Art

After 50 years as a fanatical collector I have managed to acquire a wide range of objects, ranging from museum quality tribal and ethnographic art, Chinese ceramics, European antiques, through modern abstract art to some unusual and rare natural history specimens. This website displays all my collections and which are now all for gifting, sale or rent. Please enjoy your visit.

Terms of Business

Every item displayed on this site is of top quality and is guaranteed fully authentic unless otherwise stated. If any item is thought to be a replica or more recent copy this is also noted. Before display, each item is also individually vetted for condition and quality and where significant damage or blemish is noted these defects are also fully described. If required, a certificate of authenticity can be provided for any item including details of how, from whom and when the item was acquired by ourselves (a full provenance).

If any client is not fully satisfied with their purchase we operate a no quibble 30 day returns policy. Simply return any purchase directly to us within 30 days and we will action a full and immediate refund. Unfortunately, however, and because of the international nature of our business, we cannot be responsible for refunding any shipping costs. Also, if outbound shipping costs were included within the initial purchase price, these costs will be deducted prior to the refund being issued.

Lower cost items (up to £2000) can be purchased directly through PayPal secure checkout. Note that your payment through PayPal will be to Net Entrepreneurs and in GB pounds sterling. We use PayPal because we believe it is the most secure way to purchase any goods online as only they see your credit or debit card details. PayPal also operates a full payment protection scheme (see for details).

Outbound Shipping Costs

The buyer assumes responsibility for all shipping costs, unless otherwise agreed by negotiation. On PayPal checkout please state your shipping preference and you will be contacted with costs and notification if any additional payment is necessary.

For shipping, all items are marked at or insured for their full market value. If an alternative insurance value is required please specify at checkout. Note, that if a lower or no insurance value is specified, the buyer assumes all responsibility for any potential loss. If insurance is not requested or is unavailable for any particular item again the buyer assumes all risk against intransit loss, ceasure or damage.

Customs Declaration & Clearance

For customs, all items are declared or marked at their full market value. If an alternative market value is required or if the item is, or is required to me marked as a gift please specify at checkout. Note, that if a lower market value is specified and/or the item is marked as a gift, the buyer assumes all responsibility for any potential loss. Once an item has reached the country of destination, customs clearance also becomes the sole responsibility of the recieving client. Note, that certain items such as human remains or stone/wood/metal carvings from certain cultures may be designated as retricted imports by some countries.
